Stir Fry

4 tablespoons vegetable oil

½ head broccoli, chopped

3 turnips, sliced

1 red bell pepper, sliced into sticks

½ bunch green onions, snipped

1 cup shitake mushrooms, sliced

1 cup green beans, halved

2 tablespoon ginger, grated

2 tablespoons garlic, chopped

1 teaspoon sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon cayenne

Juice of one satsuma

3 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon cornstarch

¼ cup water

½ cup peanuts

½ cup Blair Grocery sprouts

2 farm eggs, scrambled

4 cups Cajun Grain, cooked


  1. Cut all vegetables. Leave in separate piles.
  2. Measure all other ingredients. Mix sugar, satsuma juice, soy sauce and sesame oil together. Dissolve cornstarch in water.
  3. On high heat, add 2 tablespoons oil. Add garlic and ginger cook 1 minute. Add mushrooms, cook 2 minutes. Add broccoli and turnips cook 3 minutes. Add green beans cook 2 minutes. Add bell pepper cook 1 minute.
  4. Add soy sauce mixture, toss with vegetables. Add cornstarch and allow to cook until sauce thickens. Add bean sprouts and peanuts. Move vegetables onto a serving dish.
  5. Add scrambled egg to pan and cook. Add to stir fry mixture. Serve over Cajun Grain rice.
