Skillet Squash Au Gratin

1/4 cup butter or margarine

4 cups thinly sliced yellow squash

1 sliced onion

1 teaspoon salt

pinch of pepper

1/4 cup cold water

1/2 cup grated cheese

Melt butter in a saucepan. Add the squash, onion, salt, pepper and water. Cook, covered, for 10 to 15 minutes or until the aquash is tender. Sprinkle cheese on top.  Serves 4.
