Pot Roast

You can place a Grassfed Beef roast into an oven or crock pot, or cut it into chunks or strips and stir-fry to tender perfection. For the oven, a roast with less or moderate intramuscular fat is usually best when browned first in a frying pan on all surfaces over medium heat with herbs, spices, sauteed mushrooms onions, shallots, & garlic or other favorite veggies. This will prevent it from drying out to much. Dry rub herbs and spices before placing it in a preheated oven at 450º. When you put it into the oven, immediately turn the temperature down to 325º and cook until it is done the way you like it. Cook very slowly over low heat (about 200º) for 6 hours or more covered in a little liquid in the oven or in a crock pot. About two to three hours before the roast is finished add in onions, celery, garlic, and even tomatoes.
