Minty Lime Freeze

2 (8 oz) packages of cream cheese, softened
1/2 C sugar, divided
1 (3 oz) package of JELL-O brand Lime flavored gelatin
1 T lime zest
1/4 C fresh lime juice
1 (8 oz) tub of Cool Whip Lite brand whipped topping, thawed
1 T fresh mint, chopped
1-1/2 C pretzels, finely chopped
6 T butter or margarine, melted

Line a 9-inch pan with plastic wrap - be sure ends hang over edges of pan. With electric mixer, beat cream cheese and 1/4 C sugar. Add dry gelatin mix, zest and juice; mix well. Whisk in Cool Whip Lite and mint; pour into pan. Mix pretzels, 1/4 C sugar, and butter; sprinkle over pudding mixture. Cover pan with ends of plastic wrap; press crust mixture gently into filling.

Freeze for at least 3 hours. Invert dessert onto serving plate; remove plastic and pan. Let dessert stand for about 15 minutes to soften before serving.
