Marinara Sauce

29 oz. can Tomato Sauce

29 oz. can Crushed Tomatoes (or 4-6 small fresh tomatoes, diced)

1 T. Fresh Basil (or 1 tsp. dried)

1 T. Fresh Oregano (or 1 tsp. dried)

2 cloves Garlic, finely minced

1 tsp. salt

Pepper to taste

1/3 cup Parmesan Cheese, finely grated

 

     Combine all ingredients, simmer in a heavy pot for at least 15 minutes but up to 3 hours. Italian sausage or other meat can be added. May also be canned or frozen.
