Lavender Chocolate Mousse

Chocolate-Lavender Mousse


16 oz. Heavy Cream

2 tsp culinary lavender


4 T cocoa

1 tsp instant coffee

2 T confectioners sugar

1 T Bourbon * optional

1 T Crème de cocoa *optional

1 T Navan- natural vanilla liqueur (may substitute 1 tsp vanilla extract)


Heat cream in a saucepan till steaming, stirring frequently.  Add lavender, stir and let steep at least 20 minutes. Strain lavender, cover cream and refrigerate till cold.  Add other ingredients to cold cream, wisking till well blended. Beat till light and frothy with a mixer and spoon into cups.
