CUCUMBERS: Dill Pickles

  • lb pickling cukes
  • 6 T salt
  • 1 ½ cup white vinegar
  • 4 ½ cup water
  • ¼ cup dill seed or some fresh dill
  • 21 peppercorns

Slice pickling cucumbers lengthwise into about 8 sections. Pack into jars. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over pickles. Allow to set overnight.
