BAKED WILD RICE AND SWISS WITH BACON

INGREDIENTS:

7 Slices of Bacon

2 Cloves of Garlic

8 OZ Softened Cream Cheese (try and organic provider for this)

1 CUPswiss cheese (shredded)

1 CUP Wild Rice (cooked) SEE HOW TO COOK WILD RICE HERE

2 TBS Chives (minced) 

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a skillet, cook bacon until crisp. Remove your bacon and dab with a paper towel to remove excess oil. Add garlic and cook 1 minute. In a medium bowl, combine bacon (diced), garlic, cheeses, and wild rice. Spoon the mixture into a baking dish and bake for 30 minutes. Serve with crackers or chips.

You can also add spinich into the mixture before baking to give the appetizer additional flavor with another seasonal ingredient.
